Trading
Place market and pending orders, set take profit and stop loss, and size every position to your risk.
- 1 Place a market order Buy or sell at the current price from the order ticket and find the new position under the chart.
- 2 Place a pending order Set a limit or stop order from the order ticket or straight from the chart, then change or cancel it while it waits.
- 3 Set take profit and stop loss Set stops in the order ticket or drag them on the chart, use the R:R controls and magnet, and move stops on open positions.
- 4 Modify and close positions Edit a position's stops, close part of it, or close all of it from the Positions tab in the terminal.
- 5 Position sizing and risk checks Size a trade from the amount you're prepared to lose, read the ticket's risk figures, and see which checks run before an order reaches your broker.
